As part of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Regional Centre Imphal, IGNOU has adopted two villages so far-the first being Noney then a sub-division of Tamenglong District during 2015 in 1^st phase and the second being ThangaKarang Island,  Bishnupur District, Manipur on 19^th January, 2019 in the 2^nd Phase.

Celebration Of International Yoga Day 

 In association with Union Bank of India, a camp was organised at Manipur University, IGNOU Study Centre, 1701 on 14th May 2017 for the students of IGNOU for opening Zero  Balance Account

 Celebrate the National Education Day on 11^th November 2014, IGNOU Regional Centre, Imphal and organised a mass rally from IGNOU PSC, 1731P ( DIET, Imphal) to  IGNOU Regional Centre, Imphal office complex. The rally was participated by Coordinators, Programmes in charge, Academic Counselors and learners from 10 Learner Support Centres in addition to IGNOU RC Imphal staffs. Altogether there were about 750 participants.

 Celebrate the National Education Day on 11th November 2018. RC Imphal was organised the essay competition " Importance of Education at study centre 1707(DM College of Science).

Organised Dissemination Programme on HIV/AIDS for IGNOU  Students at 5 LSCs located in 5 different Districts of Manipur in Collaboration with Manipur AIDS control Society, Govt. of Manipur (17^th Feb. 2013 to 27^th March  2013).

One Day Dissemination Programme on International Humanitarian Law was organised by IGNOU Regional Centre Imphal and School of Law, New Delhi in   association with International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC), New Delhi on 16th July 2011.

Organised 12 Days Skill Development Programme for Women inmates of Manipur Central jail from 10th -22nd October 2011.
